Summer Photo Journey
At first I thought a peacock flew and sat
With tail stretched out, but look, a metal chain.
And then the streak of blue: a chair, a hat?
A metal seat, to farm (with hours of pain).
The awning stripes: a circus tent, a chaise?
No matter, strips of wood now bar my way.
At last I see a kingdom where it says,
You're welcome here, relax, unwind and stay.
Too soon the seven sisters wake me from
My reverie and shine their yellow light.
If only I could find a chair, a calm
And quiet place to shield me from the bright.
