A bit like a technique we did in art class at school with wax crayons and black paint in one of the previous centuries ... kibbat-arts.de/albums/userpics…

(lol) Oh, you always refers to age!:D (Big Grin)

But I know some paints and varnishes that produce a similar effect in handicrafts.

(laughs) Of course, non faux is much more beautiful. Especially when unexpected colors appear ...Hug

:D you could call this color uber pink - it appears like this when you fry marshmallows on iron steak pan .

I agree...sometimes when shown alone an image may not "connect" but when see with others in thematic conceptional grouping a whole new light can be shed upon it.

This is so true, and Yvette as a great talent to put together these presentations. I told her frequently to open a - maybe part time - gallery .

You know there are some I tell that to as well...and Yvette certainly should. There is a whole 'nuther level of artistic visions that goes into putting up an exhibit. Me, I'd just nail all the stuff to the wall :lmao:

Lovely. The 3D craquelure really pulls me into this image...my imagination shrinks me to a tiny size to navigate its depths.

...a patch of electricity in outer space
...a bed of unusual coral beneath the surface of sea
...a thicket of brambles covering the walls of a tower

Half of a heart - or a lung :-?
Do you recall this technique we used to learn at school? Doing some weird thing with wax colors, covering up with black caseinpaint and finally scratching your picture to reveal a rainbow-colored background?
Anyway, this was my association here ...

Yet still, there is such an illusion of interlocking depth to these cracks...
