If you saw me every day, Would you get bored, Cease to see my common face The way you used to? If you heard me every day, Would you recoil From one more laugh, One more sob, another cough? If you touched me every day, Would feelings sink, Frustrations climb, Dreaming stop? Then go away, remain awhile, Change your look, I'll change my style We'll meet on Thursday At that little café And then you'll want me Every dayalso published in:

"Dubonnet" est et était un apéritif très consommé des années 40 aux années 70. Dans le métro parisien, dans tous les souterrains, le slogan "Dubo Dubon Dubonnet" se répétait à l'infini. Cette "réclame" (publicité) a disparu dans les années 80... souvenir, souvenir...
These sort of réclame paintings were never as popular here as they were in France. I like them a lot with their layers, hidden colors and messages from another time.
Whenever I see then, I try to stop and make a couple of pictures as I am afraid that they will be more or less all gone soon. Not all of them, however, are as nice as this one. And often it also it is impossible to find a good point of view.
(I found a little apartment for next week in Dieppe, overlooking the port! Maybe I can even see this wall from there
Enjoy your vacation, Ulrich. I envy you your little trips.
Thank you, of course. Though sometimes it would be nice to have some company ....
